Warframe Tier List 2026

The placements below are our own reading of the current meta, cross-checked against Overframe.gg's community rankings on July 15, 2026. Warframe changes every update: Primes get vaulted, augments get reworked, and a frame that was unplayable last year can be meta this year. Treat this as a starting point, then argue with it on the board above.

Reference sourceOverframe Warframe Tier ListReference snapshot transcribed from Overframe's community-vote board and checked on July 15, 2026; the source page reported a Patch 43.0.1 label. Overframe is not an official Digital Extremes ranking. Warframe updates, Prime access, and reworks can move a frame between rows.

Why these frames lead this Warframe ranking

A reference tier is a dated conversation starter, not an official answer. The useful part is the reason a frame lands in a row and the rule that could move it.

Wisp PrimeWisp Prime

A flexible support frame with team buffs, healing, and strong mission comfort; its value is not limited to one node or weapon. The Prime version keeps the same kit while making the supplied board's variant explicit.

Saryn PrimeSaryn Prime

A damage-focused frame whose kit can scale across groups of enemies while still bringing useful survivability tools. Rank her lower if your board is only about new-player access or a narrow mission.

DanteDante

A modern all-rounder with damage, overguard, and team utility in one kit. He belongs near the top of a broad-purpose board, but a strict stealth or speed-only question can produce a different answer.

Octavia PrimeOctavia Prime

A powerful scaling frame with stealth, buffs, and area control. The strength is real, but a ranking that values active gunplay or low-maintenance builds may place her differently.

Mesa PrimeMesa Prime

A specialist damage frame that can erase the right targets quickly. Her position depends on whether the board rewards room clearing, weapon flexibility, or mission-specific convenience.

UrielUriel

A current-frame placement in the captured community snapshot. Treat it as a dated reference point rather than a permanent verdict while the frame and balance context continue to settle.

NokkoNokko

A current-frame placement in the captured community snapshot. Keep the date visible when comparing this result with an older Warframe tier list or a different mode-specific board.

Variants and access

Prime or Not: How to Rank the Same Warframe Twice

Primes are a stat upgrade, not a different frame. A Prime is the same kit with better base stats, an extra polarity, and a nicer model. If a Warframe sits in S, the Prime normally sits in S too — the real question is whether it moves up a row, not whether it belongs on the board at all.

Build the base frame first

Build the base frame first, then decide if the Prime moves. Some Primes turn a frame from 'needs two Forma to function' into 'works out of the box', and that gap is large enough to justify a separate row. Others are a small stat bump and change nothing about where the frame belongs. Put the ones that genuinely jump in A or S and leave the rest beside their base version.

Vaulted does not mean weak

Vaulted Primes are not gone — they are just gated. Vaulting removes access, not power, and it does not change where a frame belongs on a ranking. If you are ranking what to build next rather than what you can farm today, note the access problem in the list title instead of moving the frame down.

Give Umbra a clear rule

Where Umbra sits is a deliberate choice. Umbra is its own frame with its own polarity setup, so most boards give it its own tile. Decide whether it sits beside Excalibur or on its own row, then keep it consistent — a board that ranks the same frame twice in two different ways is harder to read than one that takes a position.

Keep the question visible

Prime and non-Prime versions can share a placement when the question is kit strength. Split them when the question is access, Forma cost, fashion, or what a new player should build next. Put that rule in the title so the exported board explains itself.

A second board

Warframe Weapon Tier List

A frame ranking answers 'what should I play'. A weapon ranking answers 'what should I build' — and those are two different boards, because the best weapon in the game depends on what the frame in front of it is doing.

Split the board by slot

Primary, secondary, and melee do different jobs, and a melee weapon that carries a sortie is not competing with a primary rifle. Rank the slots on separate boards or separate rows.

Rank for the job, not the damage number

A weapon that clears a room of mid-level enemies and a weapon that deletes one Steel Path target are both top-tier — they just solve different problems. Say which problem the board is answering.

Include stance and mod economy

Two weapons with identical base stats can rank a row apart because one has a stance that is far easier to build around, or needs one Forma instead of five. That difference is what most weapon rankings skip.

State whether Rivens count

Riven disposition changes the answer. A weapon with a high disposition and a strong Riven can sit well above where its base stats suggest. If your board accounts for Rivens, say so in the title — it is a different ranking from a no-Riven board.

Keep melee on its own board

Melee has more top-tier options than either gun slot and the comparison gets unreadable when it is mixed in. A three-board setup — primary, secondary, melee — is the cleanest structure, and you can export each one separately.

Read the rule first

Best Warframes 2026: How to Read Any Ranking

Search for the best Warframe and you get six different answers, all of them defensible. That is not because the sites disagree about the game — it is because they are answering different questions.

Best is missing a verb

'Best' is missing a verb. Best for Steel Path, best for a first frame, best support, best for solo, best for a mission type, and most fun all produce different boards, and the frames at the top of each one barely overlap. Put the question in the list title before ranking anything — a board with a visible rule is far easier to defend than a bare ordering.

Popularity and power are different

Popularity and power are not the same axis. Frames that are cheap to build, easy to play, or simply well known get recommended constantly, and that reputation gets read as power. A frame that dominates a specific mission type can be absent from most rankings for no reason beyond the fact that fewer people own it.

Date the meta

The meta moves with updates. New augments, reworked abilities, and Prime releases all move frames a row or more, which is why this page keeps a dated reference snapshot instead of a permanent list. A ranking from a year ago is not wrong — it is just outdated in a way that is invisible unless the date is on the page.

Include availability

Availability matters as much as strength. The strongest frame in the game is not a useful recommendation to someone who cannot farm it yet. If you are ranking what to build next rather than what is strongest in the abstract, put access on the board as its own row.

Use the snapshot as a starting point

Cross-check a dated community snapshot, write your own rule, and then move the cards. The editor is for a personal Warframe ranking; it does not turn a community vote into an official verdict.

Three quick moves

How to Make a Warframe Tier List

A Warframe ranking is really an answer to 'what should I build next' — put the rule on the page before you drag anything.

Pick the question first

'Best for Steel Path', 'best support', 'best for solo', and 'most fun' produce four completely different boards. Pick one and put it in the list title.

Drag frames into tiers

Move each Warframe into S, A, B, C, or D. Rename a row if your ranking uses labels like build next, already have, or never touching again.

Save and share

Add a title, review the order, and export a PNG for Discord, Reddit, or a video thumbnail.

Common questions

Warframe Tier List Maker FAQ

Is the Warframe Tier List Maker free?

Yes. It is free to use, needs no sign-up, and the exported PNG carries no watermark.

Which Warframes are included?

65 supplied frame cards cover the current starter library, including Prime variants across damage, support, crowd control, and tank roles. Frames released after the board was last updated can be uploaded manually in a few seconds.

Can I add a Warframe that is not in the library?

Yes. Upload a JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF and drop it into any tier — useful for new releases, Umbra variants, or your own screenshots.

How should I rank Warframes?

Pick one question first: Steel Path, support, solo play, levelling, or pure fun. A board that answers a single question is easier to fill and much easier to defend in an argument.

Should Prime and non-Prime versions be ranked separately?

Your choice — just decide before you start. Some players rank the base frame and let the Prime inherit the spot; others give each version its own tile.

What is the best Warframe in 2026?

That depends on the question. Frames that top Steel Path rankings, frames that carry a new player, and frames that are simply fun to play are three different lists, and the overlap between them is smaller than most people expect.

Can I rank weapons too?

Yes. Use a second board for primary, secondary, or melee weapons so the frame ranking stays readable, and export each board separately.

Can I rename the tiers or add rows?

Yes. Click any tier label to rename it, change the row colours, and add or remove rows to fit what you are ranking.

How do I export my Warframe tier list?

Move the frames into tiers, edit the title, and select Download PNG. Save & Share creates a link to the current board that you can post in Discord or Reddit.

How often does the meta change?

Every major update. Frames get augments and reworks, and Primes get released or vaulted, so the reference snapshot on this page is dated and worth re-checking after each update.
